It was a clear patch of sky. A tube-like, metallic grey-silver object, totally silent and with no comparative reference points crossed my line of vision, from my garden patio. It was slower than a plane, no visible protrusions, and in the absence of such I guessed it to be about Boeing-sized, but flying too low and too slow, for any large airplane in this region where I’ve lived for 25 years. No visible lights. No portals/windows. I’m a retired (legally qualified) journalist, 79 years old.
