For the records thought I will document this observation from way back in 2014.
I was outdoors testing out a home made adapter for my CG4 telescope tracking mount to do astrophotography with my canon 100
D. The constellation I was imaging was Leo and Canis Major.
My records indicate being disturbed by an unusual triangular shaped craft glide overhead travelling North at low altitude almost silent but for the disturbance to the surrounding air like a glider cutting through air. There was an array of circular shaped lights in an isosceles triangle pattern under its belly with an infrared like colour which glowed but not blinking.
Ive seen planes and other light aircraft including gliders over Potch but never seen any craft with this resemblance. I thought it could be a spy plane and searched the net but could not find any know craft with this array of lights.
I recall also enquiring at the glider factory at the Potch airport without any positive ID to this craft.

The attached photos were taken in the Northern Drakensberg in May 2014. I took a series of pictures of an exceptionally red sunset at intervals of a couple of seconds as I adjusted exposure settings. It was only when I looked at the photos afterwards that I noticed a strange object in the last frame of the series. This produced plenty of theories about insects, dust and camera faults etc but I am fairly certain that the object is beyond the clouds and would love to receive your views on what it might be. Attached are the original photo and a zoomed in detail from it.

I was driving on the N4 toward town last year around August at around 3pm. Just before entering Hatfield, I saw what I initially thought was a helicopter. As it came closer, I could clearly see that it was not a helicopter at all! It was about the size of a helicopter, but the best way to describe it is having the appearance of a massive wasp nest crawling with wasps, continually changing shape. The object was pitch black. I was dumbfounded. No other motorists seemed to notice it. It rose higher and higher until it eventually disappeared behind the clouds.

On the 14th of November 2014, from around 10pm, thereabouts, my husband and I were visiting his parents and sister in Wonderboom South, when my husband saw two strange orange lights in the sky while he was on the balcony. He then called me and as I went outside we saw another two lights rising up from behind the trees. We called the rest of the family and we saw many more lights thereafter. We all counted at least 20 and all the same rising up from the mountain behind the trees. At first thought we said that it could be fire lanterns (in one of the clips, when paused and zoomed, it almost looked like FL) however as they kept coming they kept their formation and direction without swaying and it was very windy that evening, as well it was raining with lightning, etc, so that thought of lanterns disappeared very quickly. My wife and i were sitting on the beach at Ballito, KZN on the evening of 19 December 2014. It was around 20:00.
Something drew my eye ( a Flash of some sort in the region of Orion). I asked her if she saw it too (she didn’t) . About 30 secs later another flash ( this time in the region of the bull. Then almost immediately after that another flash( this time close to Scorpio). It was almost as if signalling. Weird and i cant wait for another clear sky. Completely hooked.

I was outside looking for my dog when I noticed a ‘star’ that appeared red. I noticed it changing colour to a blue-white. At one point it appeared as if it was rotating, then red again and then the white-blue colour. It was rather far off, but I could see it moving, like a craft trying to keep steady in a wind storm or something. I called a witness to make sure I wasn’t going crazy and she also confirmed that it was moving. What I saw was exactly as described in the post, Bright Light- Cresta.

I witnessed for the second time this year three bright orange lights appearing to form a triangle shape in the sky. This time they appeared closer than they were the first time i saw them earlier this year. The lights vanish every time before i can get a clear shot with me cellular camera. No sounds could be heard. Just the lights blinking and fading quickly, one after the other.

My wife first noticed an very bright light in the sky which appeared low in the sky and to me could have been the light one would associate with the flame from a hot air balloon. Very bright as a subsequent photo taken by myself will show. This was on the evening of 14th December at about 20h40. We reside in Cresta and the object would have been in the north eastern sky. My wife noticed the object moving back and forth in different directions and then slowly moved further way from where she was standing. She called me and I too was able to view the object high in the sky. Moving slowly in a northerly direction. At times the light would disappear completely but not because of cloud cover as I was still, when this occurred able to see a dark round shape where the light had been. This happened repeatedly over period of five to ten minutes after which the object (now in darkness) slowly moved away and disappeared below the tree line. I took a photograph which merely shows a pinpoint light in an otherwise pitch dark clouded sky. However, on zooming in on my phone the light becomes a multicoloured elongated cigar shape. Unfortunately this zoomed image is only visible on my phone and when I forward the image elsewhere one does not get the same perspective. Please see below:

My boyfriend, his mom and I were sitting on the trampoline and looking up at the stars in Montagu Western Cape, tonight on the 8 December 2014. It was at about 9:20pm. It was during the black out. At first it was just one and we still joked and said it was an aeroplane. But it was moving impossibly fast and the light was not flickering. It also had a sort of ring around it and seems to jump in and out of sight. If you looked just above it you could follow the light with your peripheral vision, but if you looked directly at it, it seemed like a dull grey dot. Over the course of an hour we saw the following: at least 30 of these same balls of light, going in all different directions including turning at high speeds and the strangest angles. We also saw about four or five bright flashes of light ‘balls’ and then they would immediately disappear. We also saw things that appeared to be similar to shooting stars but obviously weren’t because they were much brighter and moved much slower. There was also this ‘disturbance’ kind of haze in our vision if we looked through one eye at a time. Can anyone tell me what this could have been or meant? Very strange!

In the night of 20 November 2014, I awoke around 2.30 am and went outside to look at the stars. And saw what I thought was a ‘new moon’ sliver in the south eastern sky over Johannesburg. I looked away, thinking its the moon. Then I realised the ‘new moon’ does not appear in that part of the sky. I stared back at this object. It did not move from its position, but slowly moving light appeared along its edge, and I then I saw it was rounder that round with a thin line of lights around its edge. I felt no fear, just wonder and awe at the privilege of seeing it. I don’t know how long I watched it, but found tears running down my face, filled with peace and love. I glanced away and it disappeared. It felt like I had been on a trip and come back to earth and I realised that I had seen and experienced some quite extraordinary. The thought had flashed through my mind to take photos, but I did not want to miss even one second of what I was experiencing. Wow.
